Embark CSR has been commissioned to assist De Montfort University to develop research proposals linked to its Net Zero research theme. Embark will facilitate workshops for academics to help them formulate ideas for the programme, which will help shape its next 12 month programme.

As a key feature of its Research Transformation Programme, DMU has begun to organise its research in relation to five thematic areas. This will enable Faculties to work together on ground-breaking interdisciplinary research projects that will contribute significantly to addressing global concerns and anchor research in an international context, promoting the UN SDGs.

Chris Shaw from Embark says “we are delighted that DMU has called on us to support this important new piece of work. The UK government has recently set out its proposals within the ‘Net Zero Strategy: Build Back Greener’ paper, which lays down the route map to help the UK achieve a net zero carbon target by 2050. DMU has a significant role to play in this effort through its academics who will make a major contributions with ideas and solutions.”Click on this text to edit it.
