Embark CSR launched successfully at this year’s Leicester Business Festival at an event hosted by the University Of Leicester School Of Business on the 12th November.
In front of a packed house, Embark Directors Stacey Wragg and Chris set out their plans for the company, with its emphasis on promoting partnership and collaboration using the United Nation’s Social Development Goals as a lever.

With keynote presentations from Dr Divya Jyoti from De Montfort University’s Castle Business School, and Jon Woodcock, from Voluntary Action Leicestershire, the event also provided an opportunity for delegates to hone in on the SDGs and identify which ones are more pertinent to Leicester.

After the event, Embark CSR Director Stacey Wragg said “We were thrilled with the event and the response to it. More and more SMEs are exploring options to develop and deliver outcomes for social good alongside their day to day business activities. Embark CSR has been set up to help them, and especially to help them build strong corporate partnerships.”

Chris Shaw said “It was really heartening to get the response we did. We definitely think there is a need for a company which brings private and voluntary agencies together, and one that can help SMEs initiate a CSR journey, especially if they want to plan a long term strategy for their ESG reporting.”

Sally Wood of the FSB said: “Great event! Really interested to hear more about your plans, there are so many opportunities for collaboration between the private and not for profit sectors. Today was proof of that! I came away with contact details for some exciting potential partners, as well as a renewed faith in the power of working together across sectors. Thank you to Stacey Wragg and Chris Shaw for bringing us all together.”
Miranda Priestley from Studio Attico: “What a FAB launch event! Your energy and passion for CSR is just incredible and we can't wait to see Embark CSR grow and succeed, which we know it will with you stars at the helm! Really well done.”
